With a psychedelic interface at times reminding us of a Big Brother control room (or the Architect surveying Matrix – if you prefer movie references), this interactive music video for Io Echo explores the multiple levels of visual manipulation we can subject a band performance. Created by the masterminds behind Arcade Fire’s The Wilderness Downtown, this promo lets us assemble displaced puzzle parts of the image, discover hidden visuals through our mouse cursor working as a selection tool, multiply the band members through mouse clicks, control the level of visual distortion and even the amount of information we receive – every click bringing forward a new video panel.
